 The Post Graduate Department of Commerce & Management Studies of Sree Neelakanta Government Sanskrit College, Pattambi has conducted a Two – day International Seminar Cum Workshop on Research in Social Science – Emerging Trends on 10  &  11 December 2019 at the College auditorium, the seminar cum workshop aims to give knowledge on research process in the context of quantitative and qualitative research with SPSS.

               

ABOUT THE COLLEGE

Sree Neelakanta Government Sanskrit college, Pattambi – a special grade college with the status of  Centre of Excellence - was established by Sri Punnasseri Neelakanta Sharma, a legendary Sanskit Popularly known as ‘Gurunathan’ in 1911.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Post Graduate Department of Commerce and Management Studies is the largest Department in the institution with 13 members of faculty and two UG Programme (B.Com & BBA) and one Post Graduate Programme (M.Com) imparting education to the staggering 30% of the total strength.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

Research provides new knowledge, new concepts and theories, solutions to a problem and open new areas of thought.  Further, it has the generation of questions and analyse the existing theories in accordance to the current situations.  Therefore, it is an imperative for educational academicians to be refreshed with the process of research.  The Seminar cum Workshop shall make the researcher acquaints with the various aspects of research process. 

The objective of this Programme is to give an exposure to the faculties, research scholars and students in Social Science disciplines to the latest research trends and developments in their respective field and to enhance their capacity for high quality research publications.  The quality of research depends on the understanding of the research problem, literature review, methodological framework, appropriate tools used for the analysis etc.  Now-a-days, many new aspects and avenues of research have emerged in the present day dynamic situations.
